This morning, our students visited the Britannia Mine Museum, which is the site of a copper mine. The mine operated for 70 years from 1904 to 1974. With 240 kilometers of underground mine tunnels, the mine was the largest copper mine in the British Commonwealth in the late 1920s/early 1930s. The students put on safety helmets and took the small underground train. After entering the mine, they could not only learn about the working environment of the miners at that time, understand the life in the mine, but also experience the feeling of mining in person. The most popular among students is gold panning, where you pick gold from the mud and sand with a plate, and those who successfully pan out the ore can take it home.

The students experienced the hard life of the miners by visiting the mine museum. Understand the efforts of the previous generation, bring happiness to our generation, and learn to be grateful again!
